How the selection works
There is no negative marking: the SLPRB AP 2026 notifications award marks for a correct answer and prescribe no deduction for a wrong one, so attempt every question.
- 1. Preliminary Written Test — Qualifying only. SI: two objective papers of 100 questions each (3 hours each). Constable: one objective paper of 200 questions (3 hours).
- 2. PMT / PET — Height and chest / weight, then the 1600 m run plus the 100 m run or long jump. Qualifying for Civil posts; 100 marks toward merit for AR / SPF posts.
- 3. Final Written Examination — Decides the merit. SI: four papers (two qualifying language papers, two objective papers of 200 marks). Constable: one 200-question paper.
